Built in 1987, this house has become much like that favorite book you keep returning to. Treasured because the familiar story is a Sea Ranch classic. So, what is a Sea Ranch classic? The original Sea Ranch philosophy prioritized environmental harmony, utilizing raw wood, angular geometric forms, and inward - focused spaces. The exterior used unpainted, untreated redwood or cedar wood that turns silvery-grey over time to help the house visually disappear into its environment. The interior embraces wood clad walls and tall ceilings with angled windows for that cozy Sea Ranch vibe. This describes and is the essence of Tallgrass. Fast forward from the original concept to today's needs, the Tallgrass has a bit of a head start having installed solar in 2016. The upper level of the reversed floor plan encompasses an open kitchen, dining and living room. Down the hall is a full bath with five more steps to the second bedroom. Downstairs you will find the primary bedroom and bath with two more focused spaces currently used as an office and the other for relaxed reading. The Sea Ranch itself offers three recreation centers each with a pool and sauna, tennis and pickleball courts. Take advantage of fifty miles of hiking trails along the bluff top and meadow or into the redwood forest.
